Guigang holds lotus exhibition to promote cultural tourism

The 7th Lotus Exhibition of Guigang and the Cultural Tourism Carnival series of activities opened in Guigang Garden Expo Park on June 30.

The 2020 edition of the lotus exhibition will showcase a total of 70,000 potted lotus flowers and more than 8,500 mu (566.67 hectares) of lotus flowers. Attendees are able to enjoy the flowers in 13 main venues, including Garden Expo Park, Hemei Qintang Scenic Area, Guigang Ethnic Culture Park, and Guiping Zhongshan Park. In addition, more than 20 landscapes with lotus elements have been set up in the main venues and city roads.

Combining lotus culture, gourmet food, entertainment, and tourism consumption, this year's lotus exhition will last until September. Guigang has planned more than 30 cultural activities to take place during the event, such as lotus culture introductions, food and beverage promotions, Guigang specialty promotions, and the launching of tourism routes.

Since 2014, the annual lotus exhibition has been held throughout the city six times. This year, Guigang has paid more attention to integrating tourism, farmhouses, and consumer activities, striving to create a full-scale experience for visitors to understand the historical and cultural background of Guigang, as well as to promote tourism consumption in the city.
