The construction of major projects in Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has proceeded in an orderly manner since the beginning of this year, effectively promoting the economic zone as it maintains a good momentum of development.
The first phase of the China-Uganda International Capacity Cooperation Industrial Park was officially put into operation on Oct 23, which will end the history of a Uganda without fertilizer plants or glass factories.
Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has successfully issued 9.87 billion yuan ($1.42billion) in new seven-year government bonds through the Ministry of Finance in Shenzhen's government bond issue system. With interest rates of 4.06 percent, it marks the completion of local issuance plans for 2018.
Bama Yao autonomous county in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has promoted 117 major projects in 2018. Thirty-four projects started construction from January to August, with a total investment of about 3.2 billion yuan ($462.55 million), representing a year-on-year increase of 19.5 percent.

A chemicals and new materials integration project, a major undertaking by Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company in Qinzhou with a total investment of 22.8 billion yuan ($3.33 billion), started construction on June 27.
A rare-earth battery project with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan was recently signed between Lipu County and Shenzhen Pengwei New Energy Science and Technology Co Ltd.
