In order to meet the needs of passengers during the Dragon Boat Festival, China Railway Nanning Group will add or reopen 134 trains, focusing on expanding transportation capacity in popular routes from Nanning to Guilin, Beihai, and Guangzhou.

This year's four-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, which is from June 24 to 27, is expected to have 850,000 train passengers in total, a year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent. Short- and medium-distance travel and family visits are popular during the holiday, especially in the various cities accessible by high-speed railway from Guangxi.

From June 20, people traveling on normal-speed trains will be able to use electronic tickets. Tickets for all trains in Guangxi have gone paperless, meaning that passengers can purchase tickets, enter and exit stations, as well take trains only with their personal ID cards.
