The first batch of exhibits for the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) arrived at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangxi, on Aug 29, following customs clearance by Nanning Customs.

Imported via Qinzhou Port in Guangxi, the 19.6-metric-ton shipment from Thailand includes 1,501 items across 12 categories – such as candies, biscuits, latex pillows, and shampoos – from 51 overseas exhibitors.

Huang Daohan, customs clearance chief at Bondex International Logistics, said this year's first batch was 13.8 percent larger than last year. "Customs assigned dedicated staff to guide us through procedures, ensuring efficient clearance and more time for booth setup," he said.

Scheduled for Sept 17 to 21 in Nanning, the expo benefits from Nanning Customs' tailored support: 15 long-term facilitation measures, a dedicated CAEXPO clearance guide, and special windows and inspection channels at major ports.

Services like appointment-based customs clearance, on-arrival inspections, and tax incentives for on-site purchases allow eligible goods to be processed immediately, inspected without delay, and released promptly.

Yongzhou Customs, a branch of Nanning Customs, has deployed an on-site team at the venue, tracking shipments via sea, air, and rail. Multilingual support and pre-planned supervision protocols further ensure smooth clearance, safeguarding a secure and orderly expo.
