A 24-member Guangxi youth delegation kicked off a one-week visit to Brunei, with an opening ceremony held at Brunei's Laksamana College of Business. The event is organized by the Guangxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
A counselor from the Chinese Embassy in Brunei said Guangxi's role as an important hub for China-ASEAN cooperation and its long-standing friendship with Brunei. He urged the youth to seize the opportunity to learn from each other, better understand Brunei, embrace diverse cultures, and contribute to bilateral ties.
The CEO and Vice Chancellor of Laksamana College welcomed the delegation, emphasizing that youth are vital for social progress. He hoped the visit would spark ideological exchanges, deepen cultural understanding, and strengthen friendship bonds.
Zhu Xiaoli, an official from the Guangxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Guangxi and Brunei in trade, culture, tourism, education, and sports.
Through cultural experiences, field visits, and cross-cultural dialogues, the event aims to broaden the youth's global vision, foster respect for cultural differences, and enhance people-to-people friendship.
The delegation will explore Brunei's society, history, and culture to boost mutual understanding among young people.
