The expo, themed "Inheriting Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Essence, Promoting Herbal Cuisine Culture", is guided by China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and hosted by Guangxi International Expo Group.
It involves ASEAN institutions like the Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Association Thailand and the Vietnamese Traditional Medicine Association, aiming to build a cross-border industry exchange platform.
There are plans to develop it into a key China-ASEAN hub for trade, investment and tech cooperation in the next three to five years, setting a model for the global promotion of herbal cuisine.
Spanning over 50,000 square meters, it will have eight zones themed on the entire industry chain, focusing on renowned TCM enterprises, regional industry achievements, herbal food production, and AI-integrated TCM facilities.
A series of activities will be held alongside the expo, including an opening ceremony cum China-ASEAN herbal cuisine summit, a China-ASEAN herbal cuisine competition, five themed events, involving TCM+AI, processing, appreciation, new product launches and awards, and various exhibitor-held activities like promotions and exchanges.
