South China's Guangxi is emerging as a key hub for the development of vocational skills in China and ASEAN, training thousands of ASEAN talents and fostering the cross-border exchange of expertise.

A group of 28 ASEAN educators received vocational certificates on July 15 in Nanning after completing training in sewing, e-commerce, and Chinese pastry-making.

The program, part of Guangxi's skill-sharing initiatives, included hands-on sessions in robotics, AI, 3D printing, and live-stream commerce, with participants praising advanced techniques like computer-aided fashion design.

Local colleges have played a pivotal role, establishing 47 training bases and 17 modern China-ASEAN craftsman institutes. One college alone has trained over 50,000 ASEAN learners through over 40 international projects, including a textile institute in Myanmar and an e-commerce center in Thailand.

As China's gateway to ASEAN, Guangxi is boosting the global expansion of vocational education, aiming to become an innovation hub for regional skills cooperation, bridging talent gaps and strengthening ties through practical, industry-aligned training.
