Guangxi's green vision debuted on June 11 at the Guangxi Week of China Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, presenting the region's cultural and ecological charm through political-business dialogues and themed performances.
Liu Youming, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress, highlighted Guangxi as a gem of southern China, with world-famous landscapes and notable strides in sci-tech innovation, the digital economy, and green development under new concepts.
Wu Shengrong, head of the China Pavilion, noted that Guangxi and Japan share a friendship with deep historical roots. In 2024, bilateral trade reached 6.7 billion yuan ($938 million), a 10.8 percent increase year on year, with Japanese tourist arrivals surging 82.3 percent.
On-site intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, art exhibitions, and ethnic activities took place from June 11 to 13, aiming to promote global exchanges through Guangxi's ecological and cultural treasures.
