Established 12 years ago, the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park has cooperated with the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park in Qinzhou, Guangxi. This partnership has created the innovative "Two Countries, Twin Parks" model, injecting vitality into the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Malaysia.
The Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park has emerged as a key industrial hub, hosting sectors such as steel, tires, paper manufacturing, auto parts, and food processing. The park has contributed to Malaysia's economic growth with a cumulative industrial output value exceeding 100 billion yuan ($14 billion).
The United Steel project within the park has transformed Malaysia from a steel importer to an exporter, while complying with carbon emission standards that exceed local requirements, underscoring its commitment to sustainable development.
The China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park has emerged as a key processing and trade center for Malaysian specialty products. As of now, 22 bird nest enterprises are operating in the park, contributing to an annual output value of 1.42 billion yuan, which represents a year-on-year increase of 24.73 percent. Malaysian delicacies, including bird nests, durians, and coffee processed in Qinzhou, have gained popularity at major Chinese exhibitions, earning widespread acclaim from consumers.
Through these industrial parks, high-quality products flow between Malaysia and China, creating valuable opportunities for businesses in both countries and fostering deeper economic ties.
