Chinese, Vietnamese people celebrate Sanyuesan Festival on Guichun River

Singers from China and Vietnam performed traditional folk songs on bamboo rafts along the Guichun River on March 26, to welcome the Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival.

The Sino-Vietnamese cultural exchange event was held at the Detian-Ban Gioc Waterfall cross-border tourism cooperation zone in Daxin county, Chongzuo city, Guangxi. The event features various activities, including a singing gala, Zhuang brocade fashion shows, and cultural performances from both countries.

Huang Tingting, a young folk singer who has participated in the Sino-Vietnamese singing gala multiple times, remarked that singing across the Guichun River has become a symbol of friendly exchanges between the people of China and Vietnam, fostering friendships through these musical gatherings.

Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival is the most significant traditional festival and singing fair in the Zhuang areas and the Detian Waterfall Scenic Area has utilized the festival to launch various tourism products to attract visitors.
