2025 Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival folk song competition kicks off

The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region recently announced that the 2025 Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival folk song competition takes place from March 26 to 29 in Chongzuo, Liuzhou, and Guilin.

The event features 45 singing teams divided into three groups, with each venue hosting 15  teams competing on the same stage. Outstanding teams will be able to represent Guangxi on the national stage on March 31.

The venues for this event are strategically chosen to include the Gexian square of Yufeng Park in Liuzhou, the Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree Scenic Area in Guilin, and the Detian cross-border waterfall scenic area in Chongzuo. These locations embody the millennia-old heritage of Guangxi's folk song culture, the poetic fusion of landscapes and humanities, and a heartfelt tribute to cross-national friendship.

This year's folk song competition uses the natural landscape as its stage, launching a visual and auditory feast across three major competition areas. It redefines traditional stage performances by crafting an immersive art space that captures the essence of Guangxi's spirit, allowing every listener to immerse themselves.
