The freight train loaded with 1,220 metric tons of goods departed from the Nanning International Railway Port in Guangxi, heading towards stations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on March 21. It marks the first freight train service from Nanning to the Greater Bay Area, providing stable transport capacity to enhance economic and trade exchanges.

Representatives from Nanning Communications Investment Group stated that the goods on this train mainly originate from Nanning. Previously, these goods were primarily transported to Guangdong by road, but the shift to rail transport significantly reduces costs. Additionally, rail transport offers notable advantages for locally produced goods like boards, beer, and beverages, ensuring ample transport capacity for local manufacturers to export their products.

Since the beginning of this year, the Nanning Communications Investment Group has developed multimodal transport services, reaching transportation agreements with nine companies around Nanning that produce building materials, daily necessities, and beverages.

The China Railway Nanning Group has organized the operation of intercity express trains with fixed schedules and faster transit times based on customer needs. Future trains are scheduled to operate regularly on Mondays and Thursdays, bolstering economic and trade exchanges between Nanning and the Greater Bay Area.

To ensure the smooth operation of this train service, staff from China Railway Nanning Group has provided one-on-one customer support, optimizing loading methods based on product specifications and transport needs and creating personalized transport plans. To ensure safe and efficient shipment, they closely monitored all process stages, including business handling, vehicle selection, loading, and unloading.
