Guangxi launches major actions to support AI development

The recently unveiled Guangxi AI action plan is designed to utilize technological innovation to support AI development, fostering the integration of AI with diverse sectors to empower a range of industries and cultivate new localized productive forces.

Officials from the Guangxi Science and Technology Department explained that the plan's primary objective is to align with the nation's strategic scientific and technological capabilities and to carry out comprehensive AI planning and design within Guangxi.

The strategy encompasses a series of initiatives, including executing high-level AI design, orchestrating significant AI projects, augmenting the supply of AI technology, endorsing AI-facilitated scientific research, encouraging the growth of AI enterprises, and reinforcing the assurance of AI talent.

A pivotal part of the plan is the establishment of the China-ASEAN AI Innovation Cooperation Center, which will focus on strengthening application breakthroughs in areas of unique advantage in order to cultivate industry-leading models with national competitiveness. The plan also emphasizes the role of tech finance in promoting the thorough integration of AI and industry development.
