Deputies to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and members of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from Guilin departed from Nanning for Beijing to attend the third session of the two sessions on March 3.

There are five Guilin NPC deputies attending the third session of the 14th National People's Congress and one CPPCC National Committee member attending the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The deputies conducted extensive grassroots research before the sessions, collecting public opinions and communicating with relevant departments about their proposals. They have prepared nearly 30 high-quality proposals covering agriculture, environmental protection, transportation, water conservancy, primary and secondary education, medical insurance, historical and cultural preservation, and annual leave, among other topics.

During the two sessions, Qu Jie, the CPPCC National Committee member, plans to submit proposals involving cultivation efforts for Guilin’s air routes, promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN countries and enhancing the independent support capabilities of domestic aviation tires. The goal is to boost the high-quality economic and social development of Guilin and Guangxi.
