Nanning checkpoint recorded over 16,000 inbound and outbound passengers and more than 150 flights during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, which ran from Jan 28 to Feb 4.

The passenger flow during the holiday was up 11 percent over the same period last year.

Since the start of the Spring Festival travel rush on Jan 14, Nanning checkpoint has consistently experienced high inbound and outbound traffic. Particularly from Jan 29 to Feb 3, the port saw daily passenger traffic exceed 2,000.

A significant proportion of inbound passengers were returning workers and students coming home for family reunions. On the outbound side, many travelers were heading to Southeast Asian countries for family and group tours.

Thanks to the implementation of the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, the number of international tourists visiting Nanning and the marketing of inbound tourism saw a significant increase during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday.

Nanning also hosted nearly 100 various cultural and tourism activities, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere for citizens and tourists alike.

In addition, over 2,600 expats entered Nanning checkpoint under the visa-free policy from Jan 1 to Feb 4, accounting for 60 percent of the total number of inbound international passengers.
