The Nanning Museum is adjacent to the beautiful Yongjiang River. It is a comprehensive museum primarily dedicated to the education, collection, exhibition, and research of Nanning's historical and cultural heritage.

The museum, which commenced operations in January 2016, is accessible to the public at no cost. The total construction area of the museum is 30,000 square meters, with the exhibition hall occupying 12,000 sq m. The hall features an extensive collection comprising 25,036 items.

The museum's construction features a beautiful and unique design with local characteristics. Resembling a string of delicate leaves, its exterior facade incorporates modern materials such as hollowed-out aluminum panels adorned with ethnic patterns like Zhuang brocade, harmonizing modernity, regionalism, and ethnicity.

Upon entering the Nanning Museum, visitors can view five permanent exhibitions: Ancient Nanning Hall, Modern and Contemporary Nanning Hall, Nanning Military Uprising Hall, Folk Song Hall, and Red Pottery Hall.

These exhibitions not only express the profound history and diverse culture of Nanning but also emphasize visitor participation and experience. They creatively blend content and space, integrate cultural relics with intangible cultural heritage, combine exhibition with education, and unify exhibition and performance in an innovative manner.
