The 2024 World Robot Contest Nanning Championship commenced on Dec 5 in Nanning's Binyang county, drawing over 5,000 participants from across the nation.
Running from Dec 4 to 8, the competition features 16 major events, including the VEX Series and Super AI Challenge, across 31 subcategories and 56 groups, showcasing exceptional skills in robotics design, programming, and control.
This premier robotics competition has attracted nearly 500,000 contestants from over 20 countries since its inception in 2015. Known as the "Olympics of Robotics," the event is included in China’s national student competition list and boasts internationally recognized results. Champions in Binyang will advance to the finals in Zhengzhou.
Accompanying the event are cultural and economic activities, such as a Guangxi supply market, Binyang intangible cultural heritage performances, and an EV trade fair. Aligning with the 2025 Binyang Dragon Dance Festival’s goals of promoting culture and economy, the championship fosters local development while offering participants cultural and regional insights.
