On Nov 4, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Department and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly hosted the "Tiangong Kaiwu" 2024 Industrial Tourism Promotion Event in Liuzhou, Guangxi.
In recent years, both ministries have promoted industrial tourism by highlighting heritage sites, showcasing industrial production, and creating immersive experiences. The event provides a platform for industrial enterprises and tourism destinations to exchange ideas, aiming to promote craftsmanship, showcase industrial culture, enrich tourism offerings, and drive innovation in industrial tourism.
During the event, representatives from Hunan, Guangdong, and Liuzhou shared their experience in transforming industrial sites into tourism attractions, while national industrial tourism demonstration bases, such as Yili Industrial Tourism Scenic Area and Qigndao Beer Museum, shared their opinions on integrating the cultural and tourism industries.
Furthermore, the event recommended 10 new industrial tourism innovation stars, including Beijing Shougang Industrial Culture Park and the Vinegar Culture Museum of China Zhenjiang, highlighting new models for the creative preservation and use of industrial heritage.
