On June 21, the opening ceremony of the Fenlong Festival in Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county was held at the Maonan Ethnic Cultural Industry Park in Xianan town.

The Fenlong Festival is the oldest and grandest festival of the Maonan ethnic group. It is a time when the Maonan people pray for good weather, bountiful harvests, happiness, health, and good fortune.

In recent years, Huanjiang has been striving to turn it into a well-known and nationally influential ethnic cultural tourism festival, aiming to showcase the local customs and traditions to the outside world.

The event will run from June 21 to June 30. During this period, a series of activities will be held, including the World Heritage Huanjiang: Colorful Maonan Folk Customs Night, dragon boat races, a long-table feast, and a night of revelry, displaying Huanjiang's unique folk customs, promoting Chinese traditional culture, and boosting the high-quality development of tourism across Hechi city.
