From April 11 to 13, the Wolf-like Soldier Parade is being held at the cultural squares of Nandan county, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including Longquan and Danquan squares. All are welcome to join in this celebration of the traditional Guangxi Sanyuesan Festival.

The brave and skilled wolf-like soldiers of Nandan were an important force in ancient frontier defense. Their unique military organization and style of combat made them widely renowned. Wolf-like Soldier Fist is not only an intangible cultural heritage item, but also a source of pride passed down through generations of the Nandan people.

In modern times, the Wolf-like Soldier Fist was brought into the Zhuang ethnic group by the descendants of the tusi and widely circulated in the form of master and apprentice, resulting in the preservation of 35 routines. In June 2022, the Wolf-like Soldier Fist was included in the seventh batch of representative intangible cultural heritage items in Hechi.
