A total of 21 scenic areas, including the Chengyang Eight Villages Scenic Area in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, have been officially designated as national 5A-level tourist attractions by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Jan 6.

Over 10,000 Dong ethnic people have lived here for generations, making it a focal point for Dong ethnic culture and Dong ethnic tourism in China.

The scenic area's total area is 7.6 square kilometers. It boasts over 2,000 stilted houses, 13 drum towers, and 11 wind and rain bridges, earning it the title of "China's largest museum of Dong ethnic wooden architecture."

Among these, the world-famous Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, one of the four great historical bridges in the world, is situated here.
