A promotion fair for the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) was recently hosted in Berlin, Germany. The promotion fair invited business people from both China and Germany to explore potential opportunities.
Zeng Zhong, deputy secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, noted that the CAEXPO is open to the world and is held annually in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in China.
The fair also extended an invitation to representatives from various international organizations, including the World Trade Organization and the United Nations International Trade Center. Their presence aimed to promote cooperation between China and ASEAN as a regional entity, as well as with other economies such as Germany and the European Union. The event provided new business opportunities for economic and trade cooperation among Germany, China, ASEAN, and even the East Asian region.
Michael Schumann, chairman of the Board of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA), expressed the hope for continuous enhancement of friendship and expansion of cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. The association also supports bilateral and multilateral economic dialogues and actively encourages its members to participate in the CAEXPO.
