Guangxi promotes culture, tourism in Kuala Lumpur

The Guangxi Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference was held on Jan 2 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, showcasing Guangxi's charm in history, culture, and delicacies.

Gan Lin of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, bringing new opportunities for cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries.

Guangxi is one of China's major tourist areas, known for its vibrant ethnic and cultural arts, folk customs, diverse natural landscapes, and historical and cultural sites, added Gan.

Zhang Jiexin, director of the China Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur, mentioned that the Chinese tourism market has experienced rapid recovery since last year and is expected to enter a new phase of prosperous development this year.

Zhang also expressed that he believes the number of visitors between Guangxi and Malaysia will reach new heights.
