1st China-ASEAN (Nanning) Cultural Month hits stage

The first China-ASEAN (Nanning) Cultural Month launched in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Dec 5, showcasing the traditional culture and artistic charm of China and ASEAN countries through exhibitions.

During the event, various activities will be held, including the 10th China-ASEAN (Nanning) Theatre Week, the seventh China-ASEAN Film Exhibition, a cross-border Spring Festival Gala, an art exhibition of Chinese and ASEAN artists, a comic exhibition, ASEAN international sports events, and a special performance highlighting the charm of Southeast Asia.

Officials in Nanning said that the city has been accelerating the construction of an international metropolis that faces ASEAN. The China-ASEAN (Nanning) Cultural Month event is an important platform for promoting cultural exchange and understanding between both sides.

Cambodian officials stated that their expectations for the event are to broaden the channels of cultural exchange and cooperation between ASEAN and China. They hope that cooperation projects in culture, tourism, and talent development will take root and bear fruit.

Nanning is at the forefront of China's opening and cooperation with ASEAN country. 

Of note, the first China-ASEAN (Nanning) Cultural Month event will last until late January 2024.
