The Guangxi Comprehensive Image Pavilion at the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE), the giant show which opened in East China's Shanghai on Nov 5, has attracted large numbers of visitors.

It's debuting a variety of technological innovation products, demonstrating the new achievements of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in promoting its high-quality development through high-level openness.

The Guangxi pavilion covers an area of 180 square meters and utilizes special-shaped LED and touch screens. It's divided into four main areas focusing on green ecology, open connectivity, smart manufacturing and the export of high-quality Guangxi products.

A total of 29 companies, with a total of 61 products – including nine nationally and internationally leading high-precision equipment manufacturing products – have been selected to participate in the CIIE.

"The ethnic specialty products and high-tech products in the Guangxi pavilion impressed me. The unique tourism resources also left a deep impression," said Wang Qi, chairman of Shanghai Lianguang Culture and Media.

"Taking this opportunity of the expo, we will actively connect with the cultural tourism department to carry out cultural, tourism and sports events cooperation in Guangxi," Wang added.

Guangxi has continued to attach great importance to participating in the CIIE and has organized high-level trade delegations for five consecutive years.

There have been nearly 7,000 participating companies, with a cumulative transaction amount totaling $4.5 billion.

Guangxi organized a record 1,513 companies to participate in this year's event – covering a wide range of industries including equipment manufacturing, medical equipment, food and agricultural products, as well as cross-border e-commerce.
