Vietnam to be an active player in Guangxi's 20th CAEXPO
Vietnam will be an actively participant in the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) to be held in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, which will make it one of the countries with the largest exhibition areas, the organizers said.
Officials from the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on Aug 22 that prestigious Vietnamese companies such as Trung Nguyen Coffee and Biti's have registered, while the country's Tinh Son La Province will make its first appearance as a "Charming City" during the show.
This year's CAEXPO will be held in September in Nanning - capital city of Guangxi - and it will feature more than 70 investment and trade promotions events.
The CAEXPO Secretariat said that innovative measures will be released to provide Vietnamese companies with a year-round display platform.
Since CAEXPO's inception in 2004, the China-ASEAN Expo has played a significant role in promoting commerce and trade between China and Vietnam. Over the years, Vietnamese wooden furniture, agricultural products and specialty foods have entered the Chinese market through CAEXPO.
In recent years, practical cooperation between China and Vietnam has deepened, with strong complementarity in the structure of import and export goods.
Moreover, China has been Vietnam's biggest trading partner for several consecutive years. In 2022, bilateral trade between China and Vietnam reached $234.92 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.1 percent.
