In March and April, Guangxi signed 96 cooperation agreements with Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia, involving a contract amount of approximately 96.94 billion yuan ($13.5 billion), officials announced during the Aug 1 press conference on the region's high-quality opening-up.

The region has been seizing the opportunities brought on by the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the construction of the Version 3.0 China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. It will use these opportunities to strengthen its coordination and linkage between foreign affairs, foreign trade, and foreign investment.

Currently, Guangxi has established 127 friendship-city relationships with cities in 39 countries, ranking fourth in the country. Of that total, 58 cities are in ASEAN countries, ranking first in the country.

Furthermore, the Guangxi International Friendship City Vocational Education Alliance has been established, with nearly 20 friendly cities and more than 40 vocational colleges joining. Through this friendly city platform, exchanges and cooperation in vocational training, joint education, innovation, and entrepreneurship are being strengthened.
