2 berths at Qinzhou Port pass completion acceptance
The No 9 and 10 berths at the Dalanping area of the Qinzhou Port recently passed completion acceptance.
This project is located at the southern end of the Qinzhou Port, close to the southern extension of No 8 berth, and two new 200,000-metric-ton fully automated container terminals. The automated container yard covers an area of about 337,000 square meters. The total investment of the project is about 4.19 billion yuan ($257 million), which took 21 months to complete.
Phase II of the Qinzhou Automated Terminal project is equipped with an automatic double trolley quay crane with a front extension of 70 meters, a rated load of 70 tons under the spinner, and a main lifting height of 50 meters. It can meet the operating requirements of 200,000-ton ships and is the largest quay crane in the Beibu Gulf Port.
After the project is put into operation, it will have a transportation capacity of 1.61 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), which will improve the port handling efficiency, relieve handling capacity pressure from Beibu Gulf Port and Qinzhou Port, and realize the large-scale and intelligent development of Beibu Gulf's port construction.
