A delegation of 11 representative Guangxi enterprises will be dispatched to showcase the region's latest development outcomes in the upcoming third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, which will be held in Changsha, Hunan province, from June 29 to July 2.
The third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will be jointly held by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Hunan Province and will integrate both online and offline events. The expo will include an opening ceremony, nine high-end events, seven economic and trade matchmaking sessions, three symposiums and 13 local special activities.
The expo will focus on areas of green infrastructure, customs and quarantine, medicine and health, agricultural and food products, the light and textile industries, industrial parks and vocational education.
Guangxi will set up an exhibition area of 165 square meters during the event, fully demonstrating Guangxi's achievements in areas such as opening-up and cooperation, key projects with African countries and the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
Among the 11 representative enterprises are Liugong Machinery, Guangxi Dameng Manganese Industry Group, and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor. Distinctive Guangxi products, such as Liuzhou river snail rice noodles, Nanning laoyou rice noodles and Guilin monk fruit, will also be on display.
Guangxi and Hunan, connected by mountains and rivers, are close to each other geographically and have a long history of friendship. The two areas are expected to welcome more major opportunities through the Belt and Road Initiative and provide support for infrastructure construction in central and western China.
Guangxi is aiming to take this exhibition as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in areas including industrial transformation, infrastructure, sci-tech innovation and ecological construction.
