Preparations for the upcoming 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) have been moving forwards smoothly, officials from the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on June 13.
The 20th CAEXPO will be held in September in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Six countries - Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam - will return this year to take up either the whole or half of exhibition pavilion, while Singapore and Thailand have basically confirmed the scale of their displays.
Five others - including Brunei, Laos, the Philippines and Singapore - have confirmed they will participate in the "Charm City" exhibition.
Chinese enterprises have been active in signing up to participate and those confirming their attendance have already booked 65 percent of the stands.
Meanwhile, this year's event will hold a series of commemorative activities to mark the expo's 20th anniversary and its organizers will upgrade the function of high-level dialogues.
It will set up new exhibition areas for digital technology, listed companies, fashion life and industrial design. Exhibition areas for new energy vehicles will be optimized and areas for the debut of new products and live streaming hosted by internet celebrities will be added.
