A delegation of 21 foreign media workers, experts and students from France, Madagascar, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Cambodia visited Xincheng county in Laibin on May 19.

Xincheng county is one of the birthplaces of Guangxi Zhuang embroidery, a national intangible cultural heritage item. The county also preserves the Tusi culture and has received the honorary "county of China's Tusi culture" title in 2020.

The delegation joined locals in learning ethnic dances and experienced the Zhuang embroidery process during the visit. Murodov Safarkhon, an international student from Tajikistan, said that it was very exciting to try on Zhuang ethnic clothing and that Zhuang embroidery is quite different from that in Tajikistan.
