Several groups of Vietnamese tourists arrived in China on April 1via the Youyiguan Checkpoing in Pingxiang, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, to enjoy a day trip to the border area.
According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, travel agencies have resumed inbound group tours for foreigners.
With the resumption of inbound tourism, the number of people crossing the border at Youyiguan Checkpoint continues to rise. According to statistics, seven tour groups totaling more than 120 people entered the country through this checkpoint on April 1.
Travel agencies are now actively studying the local market dynamics to develop new tourism products and itineraries to best meet the travel needs of tourists.
In order to ensure the fast and orderly clearance of passengers, Guangxi Youyiguan Checkpoint has opened a special channel for the first time and strengthened the organization of customs clearance.
Since the adjustment of customs clearance measures at Youyiguan Checkpoint on Jan 8, a total of 101,000 people have been cleared for entry and exit, and the flow of traffic between China and Vietnam has been gradually increasing.
