A strategic merger agreement between Zhonghong Pulin Medical Products and Guilin HBM Health Protections was recently signed in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, which is expected to inject new vitality into the high-quality development of Guilin's hi-tech economy.

Zhonghong Pulin Medical Products is a professional manufacturer specializing in the research and development, production, sales, as well as packaging of medical gloves. Its annual production volume stands at more than 10 billion gloves, ranking in the forefront globally.

Guilin HBM Health Protections is a Guilin-based latex industry leading enterprise producing products including condoms, medical gloves, household gloves, as well as industrial and military protective gloves.

The merger between the two enterprises has been considered a powerful combination of industrial giants in China's medical latex industry. It is expected that the two sides will promote the aggregation of capital and talents to accelerate the construction of the world's largest production group for medical gloves.

Wang Xin, vice mayor of Guilin, noted that the city has been active in adjusting its industrial layout in recent years to better protect the ecological environment of the Lijiang River.

Its four advantageous industries of electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, medicine and biological products, as well as ecological food have maintained strong growth momentum. In addition, the city has attracted world-leading enterprises like Huawei, Gree, BYD, Sunac, and Wanda to launch projects in it.

It was also noted at the agreement's signing ceremony that Guilin will further optimize its business environment and offer more support for the two enterprises, allowing them to make more contributions to the city's high-quality socioeconomic development.
