The city's traditional industries such as calcium carbonate, metallurgical cycle and electricity have been gradually developed at a higher level, and emerging industries such as gold jewelry, electronic information, and new metal materials have become new growth poles for the local economy.

Currently, the city has attracted more than 700 projects from the Greater Bay Area and several enterprises on the Fortune Global 500 list or the top 500 Chinese enterprises list have settled or invested in Hezhou, including Amer Group and China Railway Signal and Communication.
