The Liuzhou-based Liugong Machinery recently signed a 10-year strategic cooperation agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology, local media outlets reported on Sept 27. 

Liugong Machinery in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is now a shining calling card of China's manufacturing industry. It has set up five major research and development bases globally, while its products reach more than 170 countries and regions all over the world. The domestic market share of its loaders ranks first in the industry.

Contemporary Amperex Technology is a global leader of new energy innovative technologies. It is committed to providing premier solutions and services for new energy applications worldwide.

According to the agreement, the two parties will team up in exploring the electric construction machinery market. 

Yu Zhiyong of Liugong Machinery said that the enterprise's electric loaders have now achieved mass production and are exported overseas. They have been well-received since their market debut in 2021, with their current domestic market share exceeding 70 percent. 

Of note, China has released political guidance to lead the clean, green, and hi-tech development of engineering machinery products. By 2035, domestic vehicles for public use, including buses, urban logistics trucks, and sanitation sweepers, will be fully electrical ones.
