RCEP cooperation summit to be held during 19th CAEXPO

The 2nd RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation Business Summit will be held on Sept 16 during the 19th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO).

The summit, which will be jointly held by the CAEXPO Secretariat, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, plans to gather representatives of officials, businessmen and scholars from RCEP member countries to discuss pressing issues related to RCEP's development.

Cai Lixin, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee and executive vice chairperson of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, said that this year's CAEXPO is setting up exhibition areas for high-quality products from ASEAN and RCEP countries for the first time, so that these countries and regions can showcase their latest achievements in economic and trade cooperation.

On-site tours around Guangxi for South Korean and Japanese enterprises are schedule to be held to expand cooperation between these two countries and other RCEP member countries. Two themed forums are also on schedule to take place as well as a batch of cooperation project signings during the upcoming summit.
