The 2022 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition will take place from Sept 19 to 21 at the Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, officials announced during a press conference held in Beijing on Aug 9.

The exhibition will be held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, integrating offline exhibitions and online livestreams. The 25,000-square-meter offline exhibition venue will have seven exhibition halls, showcasing nine major cultural tourism business models spanning smart tourism, cultural heritage tourism, cultural tourism consumption, and camping equipment.

Vietnam has confirmed its attendance as the Guest of Honor and Gansu province will be showcased as the theme province of this year's event.

More than 300 cultural tourism enterprises and institutes from over 50 overseas countries and regions, as well as over 20 domestic provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities will participate in the exhibition. Around 250 domestic purchasers will launch one-on-one professional matchmaking events during the exhibition to establish trade platforms for enterprises.

The event is expected to promote tourism cooperation between China and ASEAN, which will further serve RCEP member countries by injecting new vitality into the regional tourism and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN, speeding up the construction of turning Guilin into a world-class tourism city, as well as turning Guangxi into a world-class tourism destination.

Activities like the opening ceremony, promotion fair for Guilin's culture and tourism industries, as well as summits will also be arranged.
