Registration for the 2022 China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition started on Aug 8 and will last until Sept 30, welcoming universities, sci-tech research institutes, enterprises, and other social groups in China and ASEAN to participate in it.

The competition is held by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the ASEAN Secretariat, containing three stages of mass selection, the quarter-finals, and the finals in December. It will be held both online and on-site at three venues, each in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Bangkok, Thailand, as well as Singapore.

The competition will focus on the areas of modern agriculture, digital economy, biomedicine and health, as well as energy saving and environmental protection. 

An official of the competition's organizing committee said that the event will help establish a regular innovation and entrepreneurship matchmaking mechanism, as well as deepen sci-tech communication and cooperation between China and ASEAN.

It is expected that the mutual flow of innovation resources, such as sci-tech outcomes, finance, talents, and information, will be promoted, contributing to the establishment of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
