Guangxi details latest COVID-19 situation

From 0:00 am to 24:00 pm on April 5, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region added two new COVID-19 cases, including one in Fangchenggang and one in Baise, while five asymptomatic infection cases were released from isolation for medical observation, according to the regional health commission.

As of 24:00 pm on April 5, Guangxi had 19 local confirmed COVID-19 cases, including eight in Fangchenggang, seven in Qinzhou, two in Baise, one in Guilin, and one in Yulin, as well as 230 local asymptomatic infections, including 96 in Fangchenggang, 63 in Qinzhou, 40 in Baise, 16 in Chongzuo, eight in Guilin, four in Nanning, and three in Beihai.

On April 5, there were four newly imported confirmed cases, all of which were from Chongzuo, including two asymptomatic infections that were transferred to confirmed cases. There were also 16 newly imported asymptomatic infections, all of which were from Chongzuo. In addition, 27 confirmed cases imported from abroad were cured and discharged, all of which were from Chongzuo, while 24 cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad were released from isolation for medical observation, all of which were from Chongzuo.

There are 64 confirmed cases imported from abroad, including 56 cases in Chongzuo, four in Baise, two in Qinzhou, one in Fangchenggang, and one in Liuzhou, as well as 192 cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad, including 187 in Chongzuo, three in Fangchenggang, one in Qinzhou, and one in Baise.

On the same day, 65 new close contacts were added, 398 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 6,010 close contacts now exist.

A total of 1,498 confirmed cases have been reported in Guangxi, of which 1,413 have been cured and discharged, 83 have been treated, while two have died.
