South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region reported seven new confirmed COVID-19 cases on March 16, all of them being in Qinzhou.

The region also reported 23 new COVID-19 asymptomatic carriers that day, of which 11 were in Qinzhou, 10 in Chongzuo, as well as one each in Fangchenggang and Liuzhou.

As of March 16, Guangxi has 83 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases (15 in Baise, two in Nanning, 47 in Fangchenggang, one in Chongzuo, and 18 in Qinzhou), as well as 136 asymptomatic carriers (46 in Fangchenggang, 13 in Baise, 48 in Chongzuo, five in Liuzhou, 22 in Qinzhou, and two in Beihai).
