The mascots of the 13th Guangxi (Hechi) Garden and Horticulture Expo, which will be held in Hechi's Yizhou district in late April 2022, were revealed on March 1.

Determined by public voting and expert selection, the mascots are based on the well-known Zhuang singers Liu Sanjie and Aniu Ge as creative prototypes. Both of them wear beautiful traditional Zhuang clothing. Liu Sanjie hair bun is decorated with camellias, which is Hechi's city flower, while the ribbons flying around Aniu Ge's waist highlights the characteristics of Hechi's silk culture. The colorful silk balls in Liu Sanjie's hand and the bronze drum in Aniu Ge's hand are traditional handicrafts of the Zhuang ethnic group. 

In addition, the official slogan of the expo, "Meet in the hometown of Liu Sanjie and experience Guangxi horticulture," was selected from more than 3,000 slogan submissions. The slogan expresses regional characteristics, as well as sends an invitation to appreciate Guangxi horitculture.

The expo will feature exhibitions on flower arrangement art, bonsai, stone appreciation, calligraphy, painting and photography, as well as silk and Hechi specialties. There will also be a variety of performances showcasing local folk culture.
