The 75050/49 China-Europe freight train loaded with 67 engineering machines by Liugong Group departed from Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region toward Moscow, Russia on Feb 22. It will arrive at Moscow's Vorsino Station after 20 days of travel.
The train is the first of its kind operated by Guangxi after China signed a customs-related Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification program with Russia on Feb 4.
Under this program, companies from both China and Russia can enjoy preferential policies for directly exporting or importing products, significantly lowering trade costs in warehouses and logistics.
"Using the China-Europe freight train to export products can guarantee our delivery on time with the railway departments helping us optimize our loading plan, putting 67 machines into 50 containers, saving more logistic cost for us," said Xue Bing of Liugong Group.
In recent years, the Liuzhou-based Liugong Group has been eyeing the markets in countries along the Belt and Road. It has been listed as one of the AEO companies by Liuzhou Customs.
Tang Guide of the China Railway Nanning Group said that the AEO program will be given full responsibility in attracting Guangxi companies to export products to the Belt and Road countries via the China-Europe freight train, promoting Guangxi products globally.
