The Anta-produced Team China indoor podium uniform at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games took Zhejiang Texwell Textile's research and development team over two months to choose the appropriate fabric, undergoing processes like raw materials selection, as well as testing and dyeing.

Jiang Yuexian, chief executive officer of Zhejiang Texwell Textile, as well as a graduate of Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College in 1987, detailed the company's R&D process for the uniforms on Feb 14.

Zhejiang Texwell Textile signed an agreement with Anta in 2016 to become one of Anta's major suppliers of high-end sport knitted fabric. Since May 2021, the company has devoted over 2 million yuan ($315,742) in R&D after Anta requested that they provide fabrics for uniforms of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Eight out of the dozen fabrics were chosen to not only make the Chinese athletes' podium uniforms, but also the uniforms for staff members of the International Olympic Committee, journalists, and the runners accompanying Olympic torchbearers.

The company provided 100,000 meters of fabrics for over 30,000 sets of uniforms, with all of the fabrics being in place in December 2021 after high-intensive production.

In addition, the company provided fabrics for 600,000 sets of uniforms of torchbearers for Adidas during the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
