On Feb 14, the Beibu Gulf Port Group, located in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, celebrated its 15th establishment anniversary. Li Yanqiang, chairman of the company, said during the celebration that the Beibu Gulf Port has grown from a small local port into an international gateway hub port through 15 years' efforts.
The Beibu Gulf Port Group has been listed among China's Top 500 Companies List for 10 consecutive years where its ranking in 2021 was 243rd.
The cargo handling capacity of Beibu Gulf Port reached 360 million metric tons in 2021 from 33.47 million tons back in 2006, ranking it ninth among China's coastal ports and nineteenth among all ports around the world.

A total of 6,117 sea-rail intermodal train trips were made in 2021 with an annual year-on-year increase of 142 percent in the past 15 years.
Great attention was given to green port construction. Cities of ports in the Beibu Gulf Port have all achieved a percentage of days with good or fairly good air quality of over 90 percent.
Li added that the group will focus on three industrial clusters featuring port logistics, port industries, and comprehensive services in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period and strive to become a world leading port company.
