Guilin photographer Lyu Jianwei released his sixth book in a series about famous and historical cultural towns in Guilin, with this one focusing on Haiyang township, Nanguo Morning reported on Jan 15.

Haiyang township in Guilin's Linchuan county has long been reputed as the "first town of gingko." It is a popular tourist attraction where visitors can enjoy its charms in all four seasons brought by peach blossoms in the spring, greenery in the summer, golden gingko trees in the autumn, and frost in the winter

Lyu's book has four chapters, with sections exploring Haiyang township's history, local streets, and traditional villages. Breathtaking photos and interesting content come together to create an encyclopedia of the village, with some of these pictures taken over 20 years ago, said Lyu.

Lyu's series on famous and historical cultural towns in Guilin has been well received since they began to be published and have been listed as boutique books for overseas communication. They are expected to promote cultural exchanges and academic research between Guangxi and ASEAN countries, as well as promote Guilin's history and culture.
