Nanning Zhongguancun has now gathered 490 innovation entities and a batch of high-tech companies that have expanded global markets, staff members from Nanning Zhongguancun Information Valley announced during the opening of its first online technology week on Jan 7.
Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is now teaming up with Zhongguancun to establish an innovation highland and a technological gateway with ASEAN. The Nanning Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstration Base was unveiled in July 2016 and has welcomed 111 innovation entities, according to December 2021 statistics.
The 25-square-kilometer Nanning Zhongguancun Technology Park, which started operation in April 2018, has now finished first-phase construction with 19 industrial projects having been put into place such as Lando U Valley.
Nanning is the closest capital city to ASEAN on the Chinese mainland and its city officials noted that the city will implement various measures such as building an ASEAN regional innovation center, establishing regional coordinated innovation platforms and developing the China-ASEAN Technology City.
