Guilin No 11 Middle School, a public school in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has won 44 autonomous regional awards for its innovations in applying interesting videos into daily education, local media outlets reported on Dec 28.
Videos and the internet have been given full play in education to make teaching more interesting and efficient. The school spent nearly four years researching and testing from March 2017 to June 2020.
"Teaching quality is vital to a school and is very important to student development," said Lu Xiaodong, principal of Guilin No 11 Middle School.
This new teaching model has also been promoted to schools in rural areas to help local students, and the school has held six training sessions for teachers from other cities in the region, including Wuzhou, Qinzhou, Liuzhou, Hezhou and Laibin, to showcase the model.
