Guangxi, Thailand join hands in craftsmen cultivation

A tripartite agreement was signed by Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College, Guangxi Liugong Group and the Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Thailand on Dec 23 to cultivate international craftsmen.
The Thailand branch of Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College, Guangxi Liugong Group's global customer experience center and the International Craftsman College will be set up in Thailand.
A pioneer of China's engineering machinery, Guangxi Liugong Group now has over 300 agencies in more than 140 countries and has set up three overseas production bases and five overseas research and development centers worldwide. The company's products now have a market share of over 50 percent in Thailand.
According to the agreement, Guangxi Liugong Group will provide technical support as well as teaching facilities, while Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College will be in charge of teacher training and student certification. The Panyapiwat Institute of Management will offer assistance in venue construction and overall planning.
Sompop Manarungsan, president of the Panyapiwat Institute of Management, noted that the signing of the tripartite agreement will help Thai students to face challenges and become professional craftsmen.
