The 11th Guangxi Inventions Exhibition and Trade Fair will take place from Dec 17 to 19 in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Xu Wenwei, deputy head of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Administration for Market Regulation announced on Dec 14.
The fair, which is held by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will organize a series of exhibition and trade events to establish platforms for intellectual properties' exhibition, trade, communication, research, innovation and cooperation.
More than 500 companies, higher education institutions and research institutes will bring nearly 700 of the latest invention outcomes such as outstanding patents, brands and traditional handicrafts to this year's event.
This year's exhibition area is expected to set a new record and will be divided into 21 areas. Nearly 100 kinds of Guangxi products under geographical indications protections, which include Rongan kumquat, Baise mango and Liubao tea, will also be displayed.
The Guangxi Inventions Exhibition and Trade Fair, first held in 2012, has gathered over 10,000 inventions from more than 8,000 exhibitors during the past 10 sessions with the total trading volume exceeding 2 billion yuan ($314 million).
