World unites to fight against COVID-19 pandemic

International medical cooperation will be enhanced to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, officials announced during the 2021 International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum took place both online and on-site in Fangchenggang on Dec 6.

Guests of the event included officials, experts, scholars and company representatives from member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and ASEAN countries.

Han Qide, vice chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), noted in a video speech that China has been active in carrying out international anti-pandemic cooperation, which has received global respect. 

Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong said in a video speech that it is in our best interests for people from all over the world to establish a healthy community internationally. 

Faisal Sultan, who is the Prime Minister of Pakistan's health advisor pointed out that China is changing the future of medical communication and cooperation, and fighting against the pandemic requires boosting global medical cooperation.
